The Story

Dr. Stephen Matheson, an intern doctor at Mercy Hospital in the mid 1900’s, was desperate for the attention and praise he felt he deserved.  The problem was, however, that his practices were often times experimental, disturbing, and morbidly wicked.  So much to the point that many of the hospital staff considered him to be…evil.  Consumed with envy of the other doctors, his “alternative” way of medicine grew even more menacing with his patients, and even himself.  Initially being an anesthesiologist, often times he would not give his patients the right amount of dosage causing an immense amount of pain, leaving the patient with no choice but to endure the torture.  His experiments included the removal of body parts and adding them to other people, and possibly to himself.  It didn’t stop there either, as he did this with animals and even insects and other species.

There did, however, seem to be one bright spot in Dr. Matheson’s life, a little girl named Sarah, who first came to Mercy Hospital for a broken arm.  Yet, there was something otherworldly about Sarah, she seemed to enjoy the experiments that Dr. Matheson was doing and seemingly encouraged him to continue with his grotesque work.  Sarah had controlling power over him, being able to get the Dr. to do whatever she wanted.  The Darkness was overpowering the Dr. causing him to do the unthinkable over and over again.  Naturally, the staff at Mercy Hospital found out about the horrific experiments and confronted him, saying that he will never be able to practice medicine or his experiments ever again.  He tried to defend himself by saying his experiments would do the world good, and that he should be able to continue, however, the doctors condemned him and stripped him of his medical license, and by doing so, sealed their own fate.

In a fit of Rage, he attacked the doctors and all those that worked there, including the patients, killing some, and inadvertently killing Sarah.  Nonetheless he continued his experimental work.  After a few days had passed, authorities entered the hospital to arrest Dr. Matheson, and unfortunately, their fate was the same as the others.  The town wanted to keep all of this a secret by simply closing the hospital, as no one would dare enter that place.  Years had passed, but even now, you can still hear the screams of all those tormented souls.  Mercy Hospital no more, it’s now aptly named No Mercy Hospital.  Does Dr. Matheson still think he is doing the world good, or has the Darkness and his alter ego Rage, taken over what used to be a place of healing?  In either way, it must be stopped before the Darkness spreads.
